As a makeup fanatic, I noticed there was a serious lack of representation in the beauty industry when it came to creating products specifically suited for South Asian skin tones and features.

What many people don’t realize is that South Asian skin typically has higher melanin content, which means they need richer, more pigmented formulas — in products like lipsticks, blushes, and eyeshadows — for the color to show up vibrantly and not turn ashy or muted. Their skin often leans warm or neutral in undertone, and come in a wide spectrum of shades that mainstream beauty tends to overlook.
